Now I will be honest I am not a foodie at all. I’m actually very picky with food. Sometimes I can’t go to dinner with friends because I’m too picky haha.

But when I watch anime and they are cooking food I want to eat everything. It looks so enticing and delicious. Now that season 3 of Food Wars is back on my stomach will be growling again.

I know the food on anime is based off of our food from real life but it doesn’t look as appetizing as the shows. I guess it’s because of the popping color of the show.

I wish I can cook these meals. Maybe I’ll look into it. 😂

Does anyone else feel the same? 😂😂😂

Here are some delicious looking meals. 😋😋😋

imageThis is my 4th year attending The New York Comic Con convention. As always there are a lot of people and so crowded you are walking shoulder to shoulder with everyone.

This year I didn’t attended any panels. There wasn’t really any that caught my interest. The one I would have attended Hiro Mashima’s Fairytail but I’ve already attended that at the Japanese Society event on Thursday. So got to be more up close and personal there then at a huge convention setting. Thank goodness for the Japanese Society. Some of the panels they did have were for Walking Dead, which is always a huge hit, Robot Chicken, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan cast interview, and Twisted Toonz.

The floor exhibits in the Artist Gallery are so awesome. To see the different art works of the many talented artists are always amazing. I love the interest the fans have in their artwork as well. Then you have the Merchandise floors. They are always charging prices out the ying yang because they know they can. People will buy it because they are at the convention. I bought 2 manga Death Note Black Edition Volumes 4 and 5 which I have been looking for everywhere. These books are awesome looking and I couldn’t find them. When I looked online they didn’t have volumes 4 and 5 and now I finally complete my series. 😀😀😀 finally, the gamers section is always packed. There are long lines waiting to play a game. So many of them are good at gaming that you can tend to wait a bit. But it’s still fun overall.

This year the most popular costumes that I saw everywhere were IT from IT, Rick from Rick and Morty, Raven from Teen Titans and Wonder Woman. Of course the regulars DeadPool, Harley Quinn, Joker and Spider-Man. But I do have to say this year not that many people dressed up. Honestly. There were more people wearing t-shirts with characters on it but no one really dressed up. My group when we stood places or were somewhere we looked like the odd ones out because we were dressed up and everyone around wasn’t. I was kind of disappointed. I’m hoping the Cosplaying its dying out. That is my favorite part about comic con.

So the reason I get to the convention extremely early is so my badge can get scanned to attend the NYCC Eastern Championship Cosplay event. It’s my favorite part because like I said I love cosplayers. It’s just so great to see the amazingly talented cosplayers creativity in the work. I do have to say this year it was a lot of awesome costumes.

There were three categories than the usual 4 they use to have. Armored, Needlework and FX.

These were the top three from left to right 3rd, 2nd and then 1st place winner. All well deserved and their costumes were all amazing. I wish I had talents like that.

Overall, I enjoyed the convention a lot. I had an amazing time as always. I will def go back next year. Did anyone else attend?

Well the shows are pretty much ending. It’s that time again to give my review of the shows I have been watching. To be honest only one show was really my fav. Others were good to give a try but not going to Rave about. Then others were just not worth it.

Anime: Saiyuki Reload Blast Genre: Adventure, Fantasy, Shenmo

The Sanbutsushin (The three Aspects of Buddha who relay the orders of heaven) sends Genjyo Sanzo the monk, the monkey king son Goku, half demon Sha Gojyo and Cho Hakkai who turned into a demon down to India to stop the Demon King Gyumaoh from resurrecting. We follow them on their journey of fighting demons and trying to survive with no money or food.

This was my favorite show for this season. The pace of the show was just right. The storyline was different and I liked it a lot. It kept me interested the whole time. The 4 main characters Sanzo, Goku, Gojyo and Hakkai were all cool, tough, can whoop ass and also all hot. Their stories were so interesting to watch. To learn about their back story was also great and it made since. I will def recommend those who like action and bad ass characters to watch this show.

Anime; Gamers Genre: Romantic Comedy, Game, School

Keita Amano loves to games but he doesn’t have any friends. One day in school Karen Tendou who is the most beautiful and popular girl in school approaches him to join the Gaming club, but Keita rejects her offer because he is not into competitive gaming. He just likes to play games for the fun of it. After this rejection Keita’s life changes for the better.

Now, the title doesn’t really go with what I thought the show will be about. They do talk about gaming but you didn’t really watch any gaming. It was a romantic comedy. But I do have to say I did enjoy it. I’m usually not into romantic comedies but this one was really hilarious. The characters are funny and the situations they put themselves in was even more funny. If you are looking for some laughs this is a good one.

Anime: Classroom of the Elite Genre: Drama, School

Kiyotaka Ayanokōji is a quiet and not very motive boy. He has been placed in Class – D at Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing School, which is dedicated to instructing students for the future society of Japan. Class D has the inferior students who have to work hard in their scores to move a head a letter grade for their class. Ayanokōji befriends two students Suzune Horikita and Kikyō Kushida and his life begins to change.

I did enjoy this show a lot. The two main characters Ayanokouji and Horikita are really cool. I liked Ayanokouji’s very laid back, nonchalant attitude. Plus he was extremely smart. Horikita was was very standoffish and had a bad attitude but I like those kind of characters. These two were great together. Now the story is pretty much a competition of trying to get your class to be the best and sabotage other classes. It started off good but kind of lost its momentum towards the end. Then There were so many secrets with the characters that kind of came to light but they never really went into depth with them. So things kind of got confusing to me. I think there will be a season 2 because there are so many things they need to answer. But I did like watching the show. Not my fav but worth a watch.

Anime: Elegant Yokai Apartment life Genre: Superntaural,

Yūshi Inaba has been living with his uncle and family since his parents died. Yūshi wants his own independence and decides to move into his high school dormitory. Unfortunately, the dormitory burns down. Not wanting to move back in with his Uncle he finds a cheap apartment called the Kotobuki-sō that he can rent until they rebuild his dorm. After moving in he finds out that the apartment has yōkai, ghost and other worldly beings. Thus, beginning a new life for Yūshi.

This was an interesting show. Nothing special but interesting to watch. I did like to see the different spirits and demons in the show. All the characters in the apartment were funny and interesting characters to watch. The storyline is nothing special but it made since and had a point to it. The main character Inaba after moving into the apartment starts to train to become a Mage. I like to watch him train. It’s def a slice of life type of show.

Anime: Katsugeki Touken Ranbu Genre: Historical Fiction, Supernatural

In 1863 during the shogunate war, Izuminokami Kanesada and a new recruit Horikawa Kinhiro which are Token Danshin(sword warrior) are historical Japanese blades brought to life by Saniwa, must stop the Jikan Sokōgun (time retrograde army) from changing history. They must recover a mysterious cargo that is capable of changing history.

This show I am still up in the air about. The story is kind of good with us going back into history and trying to save it and keep it the way it’s supposed to be. The characters in this series didn’t have much depth to them for a show like this. You learn about them but I didn’t connect with any of them. I did like the action/ fighting scenes. The scenery was amazing to see because it felt like old Japan. The clothing on the characters was really awesome too. But it was something about this show that is missing. I can’t put my finger on it.

Anime: Clean Freak! Aoyama- Kun Genre: Comedy, Sports (soccer), school

Aoyama- Kun is a super skilled soccer player but he has an obsession with cleanliness. We watch his everyday spectacles of his daily OCD activities.

This show was funny and had its moments. But it did become annoying many times. It’s actually not Aoyama who was annoying with his OCD but the supporting characters that were annoying. They were all over the top and there was no balance between crazy characters and normal characters. It was sometimes just too much. I did like Aoyama because I kind of have the same OCD like him. But not as dramatic.

Anime: Hell Girl 2 Genre: Supernatural, Mystery, Horror, Psychological

Each episode follows different individuals who are in extremely stressful or dangerous situations caused by someone else. At midnight the individual can access the Hell Correspondence website and request to get rid of that person. Hell girl who is named Ai Emma. She presents the individuals with a doll that has a string tied around it. Once they pull the string hell girl will get rid of the person that is causing the problems in their lives and bring them to hell to suffer. In exchange the individual who requested this order will also go to Hell when they die.

I was so disappointed in this show. I was a super fan of the first season. . I was so excited for season 2. Season 2 didn’t have the darkness like season 1 had. The story was extremely confusing because at one point we had a new Hell Girl, then we never spoke about her again, then two episodes they showed two previous episodes from season 1 with no point relating to anything now. Then we have another girl that is seeing visions from hell girl but no explanation as to why. This season was literally all over the place.

Anime: 18if Genre: Supernatural, Dark Fantasy

18if follows a boy named Haruto Tsuishiro who wakes up in a dream world that is filled with strange entities controlled by witches. He is assisted by professor Katsumi and a mysterious white haired girl named Lily to survive. They all come together to outsmart the witches and attempt to return to the real world.

I don’t know what to say about this show. What I can say is that the dream sequences were always interesting and fun. It made me feel like I was in a different world. But many times I felt the series to be boring. They finally helped answer questions about Haruto towards the end but it wasn’t like the best ending to a story. It wasn’t the best series for me at all.

Anime: Resturant to Another World Genre: Fantasy

The Western Restaurant Nekoya is a typical restaurant in Tokyo, Japan that serves many dishes including western food. The difference between this restaurant and others is that every Saturday the restaurant opens up for business to other worlds inhabited by elves, dragons, animal men and mystical creatures. Many of these other worldly beings becomes regular patrons every Saturday.

Only thing I can say is I just couldn’t watch anymore. It was boring and had no point to the story. Who comes up with these things?

So, those are my thoughts on summer 2017. Let me know what you did watch and your thoughts?

Hello everyone,

Hope your week is going great so far. Here is a wrap up of our awesome September Month for our Owl Tour.

Last month’s topic was Treasure:

There are moments in our lives where we lose our sense of self-worth and value and as a result, we find ourselves deep in darkness or drowning in the ocean. However, every person in this world is a treasure—we treasure ourselves or we are treasured by others—and at times, we may need to be reminded of that.

For this month’s topic, we will be exploring pop culture characters who have suffered from mental illnesses, depression, and/or suicide. We will be discussing how these individuals cope with these issues, the reasons for their emotions, and how they handled the situations they are in.

Please take a look at my fellow Owls’ tours.

It’s Tuesday and its Versus Tuesday. This is a good one because both characters are strong and awesome. It is Karma Akabane and Nagisa Shiota from Assassination Classroom.

Both are in a Class- E plotting ways to kill Koro-Sensei. They are trained killers in their own special way.

Karma is smart and strong. He is the first in class-e that caused any harm to Koro-Sensei. He is very witty and caused havoc when he first arrived in class- e. Throughout the series he is def one of the strongest students. He can use many weapons especially a gun.

Nagisa the most adorable looking boy ever (I swore was a girl for a while) who is very quiet and friendly always kept tabs on the professors weakness. He documented anything he felt would be be valuable to assassinating Koro-sensei. Never really saw too many fighting skills until the students went into training and his classmates were in trouble. The darker side comes out and you see a bad ass assassin.

If it came down to who would win, I think Nagisa because once he is triggered he can aim to kill. It will be a great fight because both are skilled. But Nagisa has a dark side that I think Karma should be more careful of.

Who do you think would win this fight Karma or Nagisa???

If you saw the Sword Art Online Ordinal Scale movie you have already heard Season 3 has been confirmed. The new title will be called Sword Art Online: Alicization. This follows the novels arc of the same name.

Not only that but a new series will be out based on the Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online novels.

Talk about overdrive. I think I am a bit excited to see both. I’m ready for some gaming shows again. Hahah

Spike Spiegel vs Shinya Kogami (VERSUS TUESDAY)

I swear I wish it was Friday! Haha well since its Tuesday and it is “Versus Tuesday.”

Today we have some hot, cool and badass guys, Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop and Shinya Kogami from Pyscho-Pass. Who would win in a battle?

I love them both. They are like my husbands. They both are anti-heroes. They both know how to use their gun. They play by their own rules. Plus they are both heavy smokers haha

Spike is a bounty hunter that once used to be part of  the criminal organization Red Dragon Syndicate until he was betrayed. He became a bounty hunter searching for criminals in hopes to make a lot of money which usually fails. Haha but while on these hunts Spike would whoop some ass. He can shoot his gun and had combat skills as well. He sometimes can look like Bruce Lee.

Shinya is a skilled detective and excels at his work that many of his fellow colleagues are amazed and yet jealous. He takes his investigations to another level of dedication. He is quick to go after the bad guys and sometimes take some really risky methods at achieving his goal.

If I had to choose anyone, hmmmmmmmmm 🤔🤔🤔 hmmmmmmmmmmmm. I may go with Spike no wait Shinya, no Spike , no Shinya. I really can’t tell you because Spike is a skilled fighter but Shinya is really smart and really technical with his stuff. Ughhh so hard. I love them both I can’t choose.

so, who do you think would win in a battle Spike Spiegel or Shinya Kogami???
