Mob Psycho 100

I am super excited. I really liked this series. I didn’t know what to expect when I first watched it. It became one of my favorite series for summer 2016.

Did you like Mob Psycho 100?

Mob is a powerful esper who doesn’t know how to emote his feelings. He wants to live a normal life so he suppresses his powers. When his emotions begin to surge to 100% he releases a lot of power. It is really hard for him to keep control of his powers. He is surrounded by many fake espers, evil spirits and a mysterious organization.

  1. I have heard good things about this series, but have yet to watch it. Must confess that the character designs are a little off putting. I am surprised that Mob Psycho got a second season before One Punch Man did.

  2. This show is very similar to One Punch Man, right? They both feature an overpowered protagonist who is frequently underestimated/ finds their power a burden. I found this set-up interesting so overall Mob Psycho was okay. But I watched it after One Punch Man, so the idea didn’t feel as novel as it could have.

I also felt that the creators took quite a gamble with the art/ visuals. I found it annoying. Also, Mob wasn’t a very charismatic protagonist, so it got a bit bland/ boring sometimes. I guess I would still watch Season 2, since I’m interested in seeing how they expand this world.

    1. Yes, it’s the same creators and one punch man. I do agree he wasn’t a charismatic character, so I can see why he isn’t a character to grab anyone’s attention. I found the show to be funny. Maybe season 2 will be. Better for you. Hopefully 😄

  3. I never managed to quite finish Mob Psycho. I wasn’t a fan of the visuals or the characters and I just kind of stopped watching it. Because of all the hype and recommendations, I did try watching it a second time but didn’t even make it as far through as the first time. It just didn’t click for me.
