ANIME VS MANGA (Versus Tuesday)

I’ve posted this maybe I think a year ago. But I have new followers. So I will like to see what everyone’s opinion is.

This is one of my favorite discussions, which do you prefer Anime or Manga?

For me it really depends:

Anime, I love to see the story in action and the graphics. I find it easier to watch anime and multi task at the same time. Also, with anime the music makes it everything. A sad part can be extra sad when the music is just right. Action can be more intense when they have the right music.

Manga, the story is more in depth than the Anime. It’s more detailed and the character development is better for me. There is but so much they can put in the anime compared to the manga. Also, when I’m reading a manga I get lost in the book, I block out everything, where when I’m watching an anime I can do a few things while watching.

Now for me I am tied between both. I don’t like one more than the other.

WHICH DO YOU PREFER ANIME OR MANGA??????

Being a music and animation nut, I’m gonna go with anime on this one. Sure, the manga has more depth, but there’s just something special about seeing movement, color, cinematography, and music all come together to produce our favorite touching and epic moments.

Btw, HUGE No.6 fan here! I was simply taken away by the anime and it’s encouraged me to start collecting the manga. Same goes for Seraph of the End, A Certain Scientific Railgun, and Evangelion to name a few.

This is a tough choice. Anime shows the music, animation and voices but the manga holds more content in the story. I like both.Sometimes, I might go for manga and some days, I pick anime.

This might be a cop out answer but I usually prefer original source over the adaptations. So for One Piece, I am hardcore manga masterrace, but for Evangelion, the 90’s anime is where it’s at. The One Piece anime did not do it for me and neither does Evangelion’s manga. But of course, there are exceptions, which would be the One Punch Man manga, which is an adaptation of the web comic. While the web comic does have the story, Yusuke Murata’s art are just godly.

I stick to anime because I enjoy the dynamic visual experience it provides over manga’s static panels. I can count on one hand the number of manga I’ve read and enjoyed. At the moment, it’s only Attack on Titan. Not saying one is better than other other because I think they’re both great media but anime just works better for me.

Personally, I don’t think I have a preference, but I have to say that I find mangas more easier to read, since animes take away a lot of time. Of course you are right the music and the atmosphere it can create, which is as important as the job of the voice actors. I can literally fall in love with their voice alone. It gives life to characters you’ve only seen on paper, it’s amazing ❤
