She has everything from Anime, k-drama, make-up and sooo much more. She can recommend anime and what make-up to wear. If it wasn’t for her I would have never had Haikyuu in my life. 😳😳😳

Here is the interview!!!

Hi everyone!

When Anime Girls NYC got in touch with me for this interview I was totally floored! Her blog is a site that I have been following for awhile and one that I enjoy! I was really pumped when she wanted to ask me questions so I hope you all enjoy the ride.

❀ Kat Sade AKA GrimmGirl

What made you create a blog?

I started GrimmGirl because I wanted to create a place where I could talk to other people who enjoy my interests. Offline I’m really the only person I know who likes anime, otome, kdramas, makeup, and is obsessed with things being cruelty-free.

Creating a blog was the perfect way for me to finally get to talk to other people who enjoyed these topics as much as I do. I am so glad I did too! I have met so many fun people through GrimmGirl and it has been a real blast.

When do you have time to create your posts and how do you come up with your ideas?

On Fridays I am able to write quite a few posts at once and I do my best to have them scheduled out. That way I don’t have to write everyday but I am still able to post new content everyday. When I first started blogging I didn’t know you could schedule posts so learning how to use the scheduling feature has really helped me to manage my time.

As far as coming up with ideas, it really helps that I have made a lot of fans in the blogging community. Through them I’m exposed to new shows I might not have known about or new topics that I decide I’d like to add my two cents on. I really enjoy doing reviews on things so you will see a lot of that on GrimmGirl but I’m also a huge fan of seeing the different types of lists people come up with. Like when people do things like top five OTP and things like that I really enjoy reading those posts so I have been trying to include more things like that on GrimmGirl.

When I first started blogging I was really nervous about what to write so I started the 30-Day Anime Challenge. It was nice because it basically gave me writing prompts! On top of that it was really fun to do and interesting to see how other people in the community would answer the same questions.

What are your goals for your blog?

Honestly, I just want to be able to have a lot of fun with it! It’s awesome to get to meet new people and do something that I enjoy. I have a lot of fun with GrimmGirl and I like that I can be creative and in charge of something without a bunch of pressure.

I think if GrimmGirl could become a spot where I could talk with people about the things we enjoy from all over the world that would be the coolest thing! My goal is just to continue writing and watching the community grow.

How often do you watch anime?

I actually watch it quite a bit! I don’t think I’ve gone a week without anime since my sophomore year of college. I’m always looking for new shows to watch and my list is huge. I just keep finding more and more shows! Hahaha becoming an anime blogger has just made my obsession worse, but I like to think that’s a good thing.

Do you have any friends or family members that are into anime?

Offline? Nope. Online? YES! Thank heaven for my online friends! My sister and brother dabble in anime but not to the extent that I do. They watch some here and there and we’ll talk about it when they do but it’s really not the same you know what I mean? They’re not usually the type that wants to sign up for a weekend marathon of Haikyu for instance.

What was your first anime?

I do have to give credit where credit is due though. My siblings are actually how I got into anime! My first anime was Dragon Ball Z because my older brother loved that show when we were little. I started watching it because I wanted to be cool like him and I actually did really like the fighting. Plus we would go out into the yard and pretend to be ninjas and stuff after watching an episode, which was a lot of fun.

What is your top 3 favorite anime?

Gah! You’re hitting me with a really hard question!

If I were pressed to choose my top three I guess I would choose the three anime I can watch over and over again. That would be Cowboy Bebop, Haikyu, and Naruto/Naruto Shippuden. I’m counting that last one as one!

What are your top 3 favorite anime characters?

Another tough one! But I will have to go with the first three that pop into my head. Top three goes to Erza of Fairy Tail, Noya of Haikyu, and Gaara of Naruto/Naruto Shippuden.

If you were an anime character what would your name be? What kind of personality would you have and what would your superpower be?

I would like to think my name would be something cool like Ayame. My personality would be a mix between Naruto and Gaara. That probably seems like a really big clash of personalities but that honestly me.

I’m a procrastinator who loves to eat but my friends are my family and that means everything to me. That being said like Gaara I’ve had my dark moments and I have always reacted to that in an optimistic way. In the end though I’m trying my best to be a better version of myself. Just like Gaara I have people that I look up to that help me to be better!

My superpower would be water related for sure! The ability to use it as a weapon like Ami as Sailor Neptune or the ability to create storms and stuff like Storm from X-Men, that’s be cool!

If anime was banned what would you do?

I would lead a revelation! No anime? Not on my watch. Not on my watch.

thanks for reading!!!
