WHICH ANIME CHARACTER DESCRIBES YOU BEST?

image
While watching anime, there is a character or few that you can relate to a lot. Where your personalities or mannerism are very similar. These creators get inspiration of these characters from somewhere. And that somewhere is humans they interact with.

It was hard for me to narrow it down, but then I thought about the shows I’ve watched and then I realized the two characters that I feel like I see myself in a lot are Umaru Doma from Himouto! Umaru-Chan and Yuri Nakamura from Angel Beats.

UMARU DOMA – HIMOUTO! UMARU-CHAN

Umaru is a popular, very intelligent and beautiful high school girl. In public she hold this appearance as a normal girl. But at home her life is completely different. She has her secret life where she wears an animal hoodie, acts lazy and eats a lot of junk food. At home all she wants to do is read manga, watch anime and play video games. She lives with her older brother Taihei who takes care of her and puts up with her obnoxious ways.

Now this is a crazy one I know. But I say she describes me because I seriously I have that Otaku life once I get home. When I am out in the streets at work or hanging with friends they see one side of me. But when I get home I am in my onesie and I am watching my anime and snacking. I can be a brat a little but not as bad as Umaru-chan. Hahahah when I was watching this anime I was cracking up because of how I felt like it was totally me.

YURI NAKAMURA – ANGEL BEATS

Yuri is the main female character of Angel beats. She is the creator and leader of the school group called Afterlife War Front. This organization fights God who they believe is the cause for all their bad mishaps and fate.

Yuri probably best describes me because she is a leader and takes charge well. She is very strategic and acts on emotions as well as logically. She is there for her friends when they need her. She hides her feelings to be there for the next person who is hurting. This is my life with my friends. I hide all my crazy emotions to be there for them. I do take charge in a lot of situations because I’m just a leader. I was brought up that way. So this confident girl is so much like me.

So these are the characters I see myself in a lot.

Which anime character describes you best????

Thanks for liking my post =)

I’m a guy, but probably the single most relatable character I’ve seen would be Shiomiya Shiori from The World God Only Knows. She likes to read anything and everything without worrying about whether it’s useful or not. Even though she talks a lot in her head she only says a tiny fraction of her thoughts out loud. She only ever talks aloud about subjects she feels really strongly about. She has a hard time dealing with people, but it’s not like she has anything against them. She constantly second-guesses herself and wonders whether she’s accidentally being impolite or weird in any given situation. And the scene where she’s trying to write a novel but keeps getting distracted by reading other books is exactly like what happens when I try to write essays for school.

Others would be Hishiro Chizuru from ReLIFE (looks emotionless, logical and literal-minded to the point of having a hard time grasping social situations, but every once in a while says/does something surprisingly random) and Ichinose Hitomi from Clannad (quirky, likes reciting random facts to people who don’t care about them, good with foreign languages). And to some extent Shu Ouma from Guilty Crown (awkward, kind of a chicken…) and pre-torture Kaneki Ken from Tokyo Ghoul (bookworm, never exercises of his own accord, few friends, dislikes conflict).

Oh, and by the way there’s also one scene in The World God Only Knows where someone asks Shiori’s opinion on a book and she ends up writing a 100-page review. Kinda like a bigger-scale version of what I’m doing right now.

TL;DR: Shiomiya Shiori from The World God Only Knows

I’ve talked about this before but I’m def Usagi from Sailor Moon. I’m always late and the easiest way to motivate me is to provide me with snacks and manga ๐Ÿ˜€ But when I get serious about something I can be pretty tough. I always have to point out to people to imagine the manga version of Usagi NOT the 90’s anime version. I am not that whiney :p

I think I’m a mix of Yajirobe from dbz and kenichi from kenichi the mightiest disciple.

I have Yajirobe’s traits of just wanting to eat and relax for 90% of the day. I have Kenichi’s drive for things I’m passionate about and I’m willing to take as many beatings as i need to in order to get a goal accomplished

I’m male but I’m going to pick a female character as this one best matches my level of weirdness and lack of social skills. Tomoko Kuroki from Watamote.

This is a great question! For me, I feel like Iโ€™m Lucy from Elfen Lied. Obviously, I donโ€™t kill people, but I have the same cold personality like her. I donโ€™t really believe in people, and I like to be alone a lot.

I think I am more of Maes Hugh from Fullmetal Alchemist. I usually have something nice to say and I am friendly to talk too. I also so my devotion and kindness to people. I am always happy to chat. ๐Ÿ™‚

I can’t think of any that best describes me, but , right off the bat, the main girls of Kamisa Hajimemashita ( kamisa kiss ) , Moribito , Hiiro no Kakera, and Chivalry of the Failed Knight. Maybe I’m not like them, but I see myself in them.

Other than the whole alien thing, I saw a lot of myself in Nagato from the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. You know, do what you like but don’t bug me when I’m reading or gaming.
